China’s BYD EV Could Be Bigger Than Ford Next Year
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis, discusses the growth potential of BYD, China’s largest electric vehicle (EV) company. With projections to sell four million cars in 2025, BYD could surpass Ford and Honda in global car sales. This is largely driven by the rapid EV adoption in the Chinese market, and even without expanding internationally, BYD will become one of the largest car manufacturers worldwide. If BYD expands beyond China and benefits from falling tariffs, it could rival the size of companies like GM or Volkswagen.
