According to NOAA forecasts, one major city will receive up to 12 inches of snow in the next three days. Temperatures will also fall slightly below normal in much of the country. A look at NOAA data reveals the cities that will see the most snowfall this week.

To determine the cities that will get the most snow this week, Climate Crisis 247 reviewed data on snowfall forecasts from NOAA’s National Digital Forecast Database. Cities with at least 25,000 residents were ranked based on the total amount of snowfall forecast to accumulate in the 72 hours from December 18 to December 20, 2024. Supplemental data on temperature forecasts for December 18 to 20 are also from the NOAA NDFD.
