Get Ready, Dayton and Louisville: Severe Rainstorms Are About to Batter Cities in Midwest And South. Are You On The List?

In a recent analysis, researchers found that rainstorms are getting more intense amid human-driven climate change. Climate change leads to warmer air, which can hold more moisture and lead to heavier rainfall extremes. For every 1°F of warming, the air can hold 4% more moisture, increasing the chance of excessive downpours and raising the risk of severe flooding.
