America Has More Air Conditioners Than People

Along with Japan, the US is the only country in the world with more air conditioners than people. There are several reasons for this. One is its high median income compared to most nations. Another is rising temperatures, which have moved into the northern tier of states. The byproduct of this is higher electricity rates, which are also rising due to US data centers. Between the two, electricity prices will keep surging.
