China Oil Plans Hurt Environment

China is the world’s largest oil importer. A lack of global supply because of the Middle East conflict should drive up prices worldwide, as China continues to have huge demand. Expensive oil is a trigger for investment in renewables. However, the Chinese government has stockpiled so much oil that this is not happening. These stockpiles are helping global oil prices remain fairly low.
