It ain’t over yet: 2 Major Storms Still Expected as Hurricane season lingers
Doug McIntyre reports that at least two more major hurricanes are still expected in the Atlantic this season, according to the National Weather Service. Despite the common belief that hurricane season is winding down, it extends until November. The higher-than-average water temperatures, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico, which is six degrees above normal, are likely to fuel these storms. Category 3 or higher hurricanes, similar to Helene and Milton, could still hit the U.S., potentially causing significant damage and loss of life.
