People In Tampa Lost 63 hours of sleep a year due to the climate

A new study from Climate Central shows that, between 2020 and 2025, residents of Tampa lost 63 hours of sleep per year because of climate change, mostly heat. The authors add, “People in the 253 U.S. cities analyzed experienced an average of 36 hours of sleep loss per year from higher nighttime temperatures during 2020-2025, of which about four hours, or 13%, were due to human-caused climate change.”
