Trouble for Tesla? BYD Sales top Musk’s Monster, with more mayhem to come
In a groundbreaking shift, China’s BYD EV company outpaced Tesla in global sales during Q3 of this year, signaling China’s rise both as the largest EV market and the biggest builder of electric vehicles. Doug McIntyre, editor-in-chief of Climate Crisis, discusses how BYD’s success is primarily rooted in the domestic Chinese market, which surpasses the U.S. and Europe in EV volume by up to tenfold.
