US Heat Deaths Expected To reach 2,000

Federal records show that heat deaths have risen in most years since 1999. Most of these are concentrated in extremely hot cities, which include Phoenix. In the last few years, the average number of heat deaths has been 2,000 a year. And, as March showed, the US is getting hotter. Among the largest challenges is that many Americans can’t afford the electricity to run AC units.
