New Study Warns of Rising Arsenic Levels in Global Rice Supply

Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, highlights a new study published in The Lancet Planetary Health warning that arsenic levels in rice could rise to dangerous levels by 2050 due to increased CO₂ absorption. Asia, which consumes the majority of the world’s rice, is especially at risk. McIntyre also points to microplastics as another growing concern in our food and water supply, urging consumers to stay aware of potential environmental toxins in everyday products.
