To determine the cities that will get the most rainfall this week, Climate Crisis 247 reviewed Quantitative Precipitation Forecast data from the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center. Cities with at least 25,000 residents were ranked based on the total precipitation projected to fall from December 9 to December 13, 2024. Supplemental data on historical monthly rainfall totals for December are from the NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information. Only the largest city in every county was considered.
