200,000 Cattle On A Block Of Concrete

The most profitable way to raise cattle is to keep them close together so they can be fed and watered. A new plan would raise 200,000 cattle on a huge concrete block. According to Bloomberg, “They will eat roughly 20 pounds of grain a day, reaching 1,400 pounds or more each. They will consume, by some estimates, 20 gallons of water a day or more—nearly 1.5 billion gallons a year collectively.” This is horrible for the environment. Cattle are a huge source of greenhouse gas emissions.
