EV Buyers Face Urgency as Federal Tax Credit Set to Expire
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reports that a new bill in Congress could end the $7,500 federal tax credit for electric vehicle purchases. The credit has been a key factor in EV adoption, but with sales already lagging in 2025 and gas prices staying low due to increased drilling, the removal of the credit could significantly damage the EV market. McIntyre warns that prospective EV buyers should act quickly before the incentive disappears.
