Ford And GM Struggle in the U.S. EV Market
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, noted that despite investing tens of billions, legacy automakers like Chevrolet and Ford hold only a small share of the U.S. EV market—7% and under 6% respectively. Hyundai and Honda trail further behind. McIntyre emphasized that recovering these massive investments is unlikely, especially with used EV sales penetration falling from 8% to just 4%.
