Not again! GM Recalls some Chevy Bolt electric vehicles Amid Fire Risk Concerns
Doug McIntyre from Climate Crisis reports that GM is recalling over a hundred Chevy Bolt EVs due to engine fire risks. The automaker had to recall 142,000 Bolts globally a few years ago because of the issue. While the number of affected cars is relatively low, McIntyre highlights the potential impact on public perception. Additionally, McIntyre points out that EVs are susceptible to fire risks, particularly in flood situations, where saltwater can cause battery issues. For some consumers, this incident may reaffirm their preference for traditional gas-powered vehicles until EV safety is assured.
