For years, the military had dedicated resources to lowering its carbon footprint, recognizing its status as one of the world’s largest polluters. If considered a nation, the military’s emissions would rank among the top 40 globally. These efforts had aligned with federal climate goals, but according to McIntyre, that chapter is now closed.
