Will money talk? Climate Change worldwide Costs $16 Million Per Hour
Doug McIntyre from Climate Crisis 24/7 reports that climate change is costing the world $16 million every hour, as estimated by the World Economic Forum. This financial toll is expected to total between $1.7 trillion and $3.1 trillion per year by 2050, a figure comparable to the GDPs of nations like Italy or Spain. Damage costs span infrastructure, agriculture, property, health and more. Despite the urgent need for action, McIntyre warns that neither government funding nor private capital is likely sufficient to reverse such widespread damage.
