Air Quality Alerts Range from Chicago To Phoenix
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reports that a growing number of U.S. states are under active air quality alerts due to dangerous levels of wildfire smoke. Citing data from Axios, he lists states from coast to coast, including New York, California, Colorado, and Illinois, as being affected. McIntyre warns that with wildfire season intensifying and dry, windy conditions persisting, poor air quality could remain widespread across much of the U.S. until winter arrives.
