CVS Health Launches Weather Alerts
Most people who want weather news turn to a weather service like AccuWeather. This is particularly true in cases of dangerous weather. People can even have weather alerts pushed to their phones. This is particulalry useful to those who have pre-existing health problems affected by changes like wildfires. CVS has com started its system to push weather alerts to its customers.
The systems will send “tips” to customers. One major target is people with lung disease.
This system and others like it may eventually be controlled by AI-driven weather forecasts, which can be phenomenally accurate. While these are in their infancy, they promise to be extremely successful.
CVS is likely the beginning of a trend toward personalized weather. AI will make that possible.
How will the weather forecasters be compensated? Most likely by companies like CVC or personal consumers.
Regardless of the business model, the likelihood that it is a money-making project is high.
