Canadian Wildfires Dangerous Smoke Covers U.S.

Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reports that wildfires raging in northern Canada are again sending massive amounts of smoke into the U.S., degrading air quality across large regions. With over 100 uncontrolled fires, smoke has already reached as far south as Florida. According to The Weather Channel, cities like Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Atlanta will soon be affected. McIntyre draws comparisons to 2023, when Canadian smoke darkened skies across the Northeast and led to health emergencies in places like New York City. He warns that such cross-border pollution may become a recurring issue.
