EV Sales Badly Battered In First Quarter

EV sales as a percent of new cars in Q1 were 5.6%. That is down from 7.8% in 2025 and 7.9% in 2024, according to Cox Automotive. One reason may be the elimination of the $7,500 federal tax credit.
