UN Gives Up On Climate Goal

The Paris Agreement in 2015 set out plans to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees C above pre-industrial levels. It admits that this will not happen. The goal is to keep the figure below 1.8 degrees C by the end of the century and then bring it back down again. The US has pulled out of these agreements. That means hitting the marks will be extremely hard.
