Weather Budget Cuts Threaten Americans
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reports on drastic upcoming cuts to key U.S. environmental agencies, citing a study from Axios. The Environmental Protection Agency is expected to lose 35% of its science staff, the National Park Service may face a one-third cut, and NOAA — which oversees the Weather Service — could see a 28% reduction. McIntyre warns that these cuts come at a time of worsening pollution and more extreme weather, including an increasingly volatile hurricane season.
