Wildfire Costs Threaten Southern Europe Budgets

Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reported that wildfires in southern Europe could cost up to $22 billion per season, a massive increase from $4 billion in 2003. Greece and France have already suffered their largest wildfires in history, worsened by record heat and drought. McIntyre warned that climate change is fueling escalating costs and destruction across Europe.
