The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has collected data on the effectiveness of wind and solar in generating electricity since 2021. The answer is better than expected. The contribution of each is between 30% and 50%. If that pace continues, there is a chance to phase out fossil fuels, unless demand explodes. Douglas A.
