Rising Beef Prices Severely Damage Restaurant Business

Beef prices are up, largely because of global warming. Feed comes from grain harvests in the central part of the country in states like Iowa and Nebraska. Drought has hurt production. Scientists blame the multi-year drought on global warming. As beef cattle farmers pass prices on to restaurants, some cannot pass those on to customers. The compressed margins are putting some restaurants out of business.
