A Texas City Is Running Out Of Water

Over the last decades, several cities have nearly run out of water. The most famous case was Mexico City. Now, the problem has come to a city in Texas.

A new analysis shows, Corpus Christi provides water to a wide area of Texas. The area is home to several major companies, including Tesla and ExxonMobil. A very long drought is an insurmountable problem.

Heatmap AM reports  “The water situation in South Texas is about as dire as I’ve ever seen it,” said Mike Howard, chief executive of Howard Energy Partners. It also points out that if the problem were solved, it would be an area with abundant energy.

This problem is not isolated to Corpus Christi. Water scarcity is a common problem. Drought has shut down farms in many parts of the country. Beef Cattle availability is at a decades-long low.

There is also an “overabundance” of water in some places. In some cases, this is storm-driven. The orange crop in Florida is the smallest since 1933.

Weather extremes will make the Corpus Christi problem more widespread across America. That profoundly affects “GDP” in some areas. That, in turn, changes the entire face of some communities. And, reversing the situation is almost impossible.
