US Gives Up On Climate Reporting
The US did not offer data for its NDC (national targets determined contributions.) These show how much countries have progressed on their goals set by the Paris Agreement. According to Climate Tracker, 191 countries have not submitted NDC targets 2035.

Brazil and UAE submitted targets. Among the countries that did not submit an NDC were the US, China, India, Japan, Russia, and South Korea.
Looking at the data, Bloomberg stated, “We’re now almost halfway through a decade where the world needs to drastically cut carbon emissions if we’re to avoid damaging global warming. The outlook isn’t good. Far from declining, greenhouse pollution is barely slowing from the pace it’s been growing at for the past two decades.”
China, US, And India Data
The information is not surprising. There is little information that shows the world’s largest nations have taken climate change problems seriously. China is the largest coal user, although it has made great progress in renewables. India burns huge amounts of coal and has made no progress with renewables. The US has moved slowly from fossil fuels to renewables and remains the world’s largest oil producer.
2024 was the hottest day since the start of the industrial age. There is no reason to believe the upward trend will stop. The world’s nations have missed their climate targets, which will remain the trend.
