Weather May Knock Down Drones Over New Jersey
What appeared to be mysterious UFOs flying above the northeastern US, it appears they are drones. What needs to be clarified is where they come from or who operates them. Wind and rain, strong enough to destroy some drones, will spread across New Jersey.
Some drones are nearly weatherproof. Most drones that the general public can buy are not waterproof. UMile reports, “Most drones are not designed to withstand moisture and water and flying them in wet conditions can seriously damage their electronic and mechanical components. Water can infiltrate the motors, electronics, sensors, and battery, which can lead to malfunction or even total loss of the drone.”
The Danger Of Ice
Military drones operate differently. Rain and most wind are not a problem. However, ice is. The weather above New Jersey is expected to be below freezing, and it is expected to snow. It will be interesting to see if the drones disappear.
The government has described the drones as harmless. That has not put people’s minds at ease. According to The New York Times, “Many residents who have seen the purported drones have said that, while they do not feel afraid for their safety, the experiences have left them unsettled and on edge.”
Wait and see. The weather may take down the drones when no one else can.
