Another one the way? Storm Threatens to Become Next Devastating Hurricane

With hurricanes Helene and Milton only just in the rearview mirror, a new storm in the Atlantic is brewing and has a 50% chance of developing into a hurricane, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. If it strikes the U.S., particularly hurricane-hit regions in Florida, the effects could be devastating as many areas are still in the midst of recovery. Warmer waters in the Atlantic and Gulf are increasing both the frequency and intensity of hurricanes, and with the season extending until November, more storms are likely to form, potentially causing further destruction.
