China’s EV threat: Its high-quality — and cheap — vehicles Challenge U.S. Brands

Doug McIntyre, editor of Climate Crisis, reports that Chinese electric vehicles have reached a quality level comparable to U.S. EVs — or even exceeding them — as confirmed by a recent Motor Trend report. In addition, the study reported that Chinese EVs come at a significantly lower cost, often half the price. This poses a serious challenge to U.S. automakers like Ford and GM. Currently, steep tariffs protect the U.S. market, but some Chinese carmakers are considering production in Mexico, which could ease their access.
