FEMA Cuts Raise Fears Of Katrina-Level Disaster
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reports that FEMA employees have warned Congress that Donald Trump’s attacks on the agency risk leaving the U.S. unprepared for another disaster like Hurricane Katrina. With more than 2,000 staff cuts and reduced funding, FEMA’s ability to respond to future hurricanes could be severely compromised.
