Weather Service Cutbacks And Deadly Storms
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reports that several key National Weather Service offices are no longer operating 24/7, even in regions prone to extreme weather like eastern Kentucky and wildfire-prone areas of California. McIntyre warns that the lack of full-time monitoring in these high-risk zones could leave communities more vulnerable to deadly natural disasters.
