Americans Continue To Rush To Dallas And Nashville

Despite an increase in violent storms and extremely hot summers, Americans continue to move to Dallas, Nashville, and Raleigh in great numbers, according to a new study. Additionally, Americans continue to move out of the northern tier of states.
*Americans Are Moving
The new Allied study titled “Where Are People Moving: Migration Report.” looks at net migration which is the number of people who move to a state or city compared to how many leave.
The top five cities for net migration in 2024 were Charlotte SC, Greenville NC, Raleigh NC, Nashville and Dallas. Dallas have been hit by withering heat with consecutive days of temperatures above 100 degree F
Massive Hurricanes
Parts of North Carolina were also on the path of Hurricane Helene which did irreparable damage.
What has not happened, but will, is a migration north because of violent weather and the insurance problems it brings to homeowners. Around the nation people cannot get insurance because of storms, floods, hurricanes and wildfires. Without insurance people cannot get mortgages. Without mortgages, prices drop. And, for those who can get insurance, the price is usually so high that people cannot afford it.
