Miami At Huge Risk For Hurricanes This Year
The chance that hurricanes will hit Broward and Palm Beach County is much higher than in any other county in the US. These counties are home to several large cities, the largest of which is Miami. Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach are also included.
Climate Danger –How Many Get Killed?
According to LawnStarter’s 2024 Most Hurricane-Vulnerable Counties, several counties in South Carolina and other parts of Florida are at high risk. All the vulnerable counties were along the Atlantic Coast as far north as Maine and along the Gulf Coast as far West as the Mexican border. Over 300 countries were rated.

The calculations were based on four categories–hurricane risk, hurricane History, financial impact, and disaster cleanup. FEMA data and data on past hurricane damage dollar figures were parts of the foundation of these categories.
Each country was given a rating of zero to one. Broward’s score was 74.57. Palm Beach County’s was 73.66. There was a sharp drop to No.3, Charlestown, Country, SC
