The Model S number was a drop of $56,125 from the original MSRP. For the Model X, the figure was $53,846.

Expense For All Cars
“Depreciation remains the most expensive aspect of buying a new vehicle, and the variation between vehicle types and specific models is something consumers should consider when researching their next purchase,” said iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer.
The universe for the study was 800,000 five-year-old cars sold between March 2024 and February 2025.
Two Porsches have the lowest depreciation. For the 911 it was 19.5%. For the 718 Cayman the figure was 21.8%
The numbers for Teslas are another reason the company may have trouble selling its cars.
