America’s Wind Power Crippled For Decades

Energy advancements build up themselves. This was true as far back as the use of oil. Oil triggered the use of cars, trucks, and eventually planes. These forms of transportation. The same thing happened to nuclear power in the US, until the meltdown at Three Mile Island in 1979. Fears from that almost killed the use of nuclear energy in America, but it advanced in the other developed nations.
The generation of energy generation in the U.S. has moved to solar and wind. To some extent this is because they are cheap, and, on paper, they are abundant. The theory for some time is that this would ultimately allow America to sharply lessen its reliance on fossil fuels. And, this was working.
The new Trump Administration’s actions to cripple commercial use of wind energy will push the sector back for decades. That is how large the damage is. The Department of Transportation killed $679 million in funding for projects that support offshore wind development in the U.S. “Wasteful, wind projects are using resources that could otherwise go towards revitalizing America’s maritime industry,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy.
Two things will happen. The use of all electricity-generating power is based on the ability to feed it into the grid system. That is often complex and expensive. An energy source with a questionable future will be removed from the list of priorities for this work.
Funding Disappears
The second problem is that next-generation energy support requires funding from the private sector. Wind power reached a level where the support will nearly disappear. Any funding will carry large interest rates. A new business cannot afford to be saddled with those
Money and effort will be available for solar, and perhaps safer nuclear power. Fossil fuels have already begun a comeback
There are only so many mouths to feed.
