The all-time record air temperature was 134 degrees F set in Death Valley on July 10, 1913. It is very rare for any temperature to reach that level, there are parts of the world that are 120 degrees day after day. Those temperatures are at a level in which most humans cannot survive.

Today, it is 119 degrees in two areas of Iran. One is Ahvas. This other is Omidieh. These temperatures are not unusual as maximum levels per day in August

Ahvas is in the eastern part near the Iraq border. Omidieh is south and near Kuwait. On any given day, Kuwait City is the hottest place in the world. Omidieh has a population of 60,000. Ahva’ s population is 1.5 million.

Too Hot To Live

The population of each city uses traditional means of combating the temperature, although at very high temperatures, these begin to lose their effectiveness. Air conditioning is the front line of defense. Those who must go outside drink large amounts of water and wear light colored clothes.

However, the work of the population is very limited. Outdoor constitution activities are impossible in parts of the year. So is the simple act of walking a mile

Those who go long without proper protection, often get sick enough to go to emergency rooms.
