Orlando can expect massively heavy rain, high winds, and flooding. Walt Disney World will be shut for two days, or if it is badly damaged, much longer.
Walt Disney World and other Disney locations in Orlando have about 160,000 visitors daily. The Disney theme parks are among the parent company’s largest revenue and profit contributors.
Damage Local GDP
Walt Dinsey World is only a tiny example of what happens to local economies after large storms. Local GDP will be affected from Tampa to Jacksonville. When residential destruction is considered, damages in the area will total well into the billions of dollars.
AccuWeather estimated the cost of Hurricane Helene to be as high as $250 billion. It is unlikely Milong will go that high, but the figure will be considerable.
