One Of The World’s Cleanest Cities Is Polluted

According to the real-time AIQ rating, Oslo is one of the clearest cities in the world. It has the “cleanest” designation most days.

Recently, its situation has deteriorated. Bloomberg ran an article titled “Norway’s capital is known for its green policies and widespread adoption of electric vehicles. Why does the city still struggle with air pollution?”

Forty percent of cars in Oslo are EVs. Policies have restricted downtown traffic. However, as Bloomberg points out, EVs do have emissions thrown off by parts like their tires.

Wood Stoves

People in Oslo also have wood-burning stoves, which ironically cause a great deal of air pollution in places like China. The percentage of people in Being is larger than in Oslo, but the point is taken.

Oslo’s location in a valley and the extensive network of tunnels are other causes of greenhouse gas problems.

The message from Oslo is that, when it comes to pollution, if it is not one thing, it is another. Creating the perfect green environment is almost impossible.
