Canadian Wildfire Smoke Causes U.S. Sky To Burn Red
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reports that smoke from northern Canadian wildfires will cause striking red sunsets along the U.S. East Coast this week. While most of the smoke will stay high in the atmosphere and won’t immediately affect air quality, McIntyre warns of the past health hazards — like in 2023 when New York City’s air became dangerously polluted, prompting mask use and hospital visits for asthma sufferers.
