U.S. EV Sales Expected To Crash
Douglas McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief at Climate Crisis 24/7, reported that U.S. EV sales surged ahead of the federal tax credit expiration but are now expected to decline sharply. According to The New York Times and auto analysts like Adam Jones of Morgan Stanley, the loss of the credit will cause automakers to scale back production, delay new EV models, and redirect resources toward gas and hybrid vehicles. McIntyre highlighted cost barriers and a lack of charging infrastructure as additional reasons EV adoption will slow.
