Cloud Seeding Won’t Help Los Angeles

Cloud seeding creates rain by putting silver iodide into clouds. This creates a “nucleus” for freezing droplets to form around. The problem with the use of this in Los Angeles is that there are no clouds to seed. According to forecasts, the first day that will be even partially cloudy is the 21st.

The cloud seeding plan which has been mentioned as a way to combat the LA wildfires show how climate naivety works. A solution seems to make sense, until it is debunked.
The only water that will come from the sky is from flying tankers and helicopters. Some of these drop fire retardants and well. However as wind speeds pick up toward 40 MPH it is dangerous to put these planes into the air and they are grounded.
No October Rains
Los Angeles has received less than an inch of rain since October. The huge rain storms that come off the Pacific in January have not appeared.
The wildfires will need to be fought on the ground for much of the balance of this week because of high winds. man made, artificial solutions won’t work.
