Gulf Of America Temperatures Reach 90 Degrees

One marker of violent hurricanes is warm water in the south Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of America. It reached 90 degrees near Key West yesterday. The bath temperature water is blamed for the violence of Hurricanes Milton and Helene last year.
While the Gulf water may not get warmer sequentially each year, the trend is higher. That means the number of powerful hurricanes will be higher.
Active Hurricanes
Interestingly, In what was supposed to be an active hurricane season this year, there has not been a single storm that has reached that level. The next three months will need to be extremely active for the year to match expectations.
A look at Gulf water temperatures shows that a number of places have posted temperatures of over 85. These include Naples and Tampa. Those are areas which Helene and Milton hit the hardest.
Finally, like most environmental problems this one won’t get better.
