Huge New Storm Threatens Miami And Tampa
A massive rainstorm will dump inches of rain across much of Florida, including Tampa, which Hurricane Helene has badly damaged.
*What Hurricane Helene Did To The Region Already
Accuweather calls the upcoming storm a “tropical rainstorm.” Its experts report, “A dangerous, damaging, and disruptive situation is likely to unfold in Florida next week as a tropical rainstorm is forecast to evolve into a named tropical cyclone and deliver flooding downpours.”
Some parts of the Tampa region have already experienced huge flooding. Another storm would add to what has already been as much as a foot of rain. Thousand of homes have already been damaged or destroyed. Parts of Tampa are already below sea level.
Atlantic Storms
This storm season in the Atlantic was supposed to be destructive. For a period, it was calm. It appears that storm after storm has and will hit the region. Some may come in rapid succession and swamp the same places.
Metrologists and experts believe that storms followed quickly by another may be part of the hurricane season. If so, the destruction will be unimaginable.
