Ford And Nissan Chop EV Models

Now that the EV market is faltering in the US, several global car companies are canceling planned models. Both Ford and Nissan killed planned launches.
Ford believed a three-row EV SUV would be well-received. Three-row SUVs have become more popular because they can seat seven to nine people. Ford already had an EV full-sized pickup called the F-150 Lightning. It has an EV crossover called the Mustang Mach-E. It needed to extend its EV portfolio to reach a larger consumer base.
Ford’s EV business has generally fallen apart. It has lost billions and had barely any sales to show for the investment. Ford’s CEO recently stated that he is concerned about the competition from China.Â
China Competition
Nissan is far from being the leader among Japanese car import companies. Its sales are well behind those of its rivals, Toyota and Honda. The Infiniti luxury brand is a failure; It has dropped a broad approach to the market and will only launch two EV SUVs. The original plan was to have sedans as well.
Nissan and Ford are not alone. Mercedes has canceled some planned models. So has Volvo. The EV retreat is gaining speed.
