Elon Musk Is Not Sleeping On Tesla Factory Floor
There are rumors that as Tesla sales slow, Elon Musk has returned to sleeping on the floor of a Tesla factory. In April 2016 and November 2018, Mucks appeared to sleep on a couch under his desk to rally workers and be able to fix assembly problems quickly.
Slow Sales
In January of this year, Musk said workers may have to sleep in factories when it launches its new $25,000 EV. That has been delayed indefinitely so workers can sleep at home. Tesla has posted slowing growth in production. There is a market for used Teslas. and too much inventory.
A Real Bed The idea that Musk has returned to his factory bed is an urban legend based on past incidents. The small amounts of sleep he says he gets as he moves among his companies, particularly X (Twitter), Tesla, and SpaceX, may fuel it. Musk’s Twitter posts are often fanciful and very serious, making him a particularly unpredictable character. It is easy to imagine his behavior can be erratic, but he is likely sleeping in a normal bed.
