Tesla Dominates Luxury Car Market

Experian has released its Automotive Consumer Trends and Analysis for the fourth quarter of 2024. The US has 292.3 million vehicles on the road, and 15.8 million new registrations were made in the year’s final quarter. Data was broken into new and used cars.
Brands and models were divided into non-luxury vehicles and exotic and luxury vehicles. Across registrations last year, Toyota led in market share at 28.34%, followed by Honda at 21.66%.
Among exotic and luxury leaders, Tesla had the highest registration rate at 28.7%, followed by BMW with 18.81%.

California dominated the EV market with 34.32% of all registrations last year.
