The Hottest Place In The World Today 110 Degrees

It is 110 degrees F in Vioolsdrif, a village on the Orange River in the northwestern Namaqualand area of South Africa. Extremely high temperatures have hit the entire area nearby.
Summer lasts from August to April in Vioolsdrif. It recorded one of the highest temperatures in the history of South Africa when the thermometer reached 117 degrees F on October 27, 2015
Last year, extreme weather, much of it heatwaves, killed thousands of people; many were in drought-stricken areas and those without temperature protection such as air conditioning.
The CDC reports:
Extreme heat events can trigger a variety of heat stress
conditions, such as heat stroke. Heat stroke is the most
serious heat-related disorder. It occurs when the body
becomes unable to control its temperature. Body temperature
rises rapidly, the sweating mechanism fails, and the body
cannot cool down. This condition can cause death or
permanent disability if emergency treatment is not given.
