The World’s New Hurricane Machine

The South Atlantic has become a hurricane machine for storms that hit Florida and the balance of the US East Coast. The top few feet of the ocean and areas that run through the Caribbean and into the Gulf of Mexico can reach almost 90 degrees F. They are a perfect place for tropical storms or small hurricanes to become massive storms with 130 MPH.

Erin is a case in point. It went from a Category 1 Hurricane to a Category 5 in less than three days, a pace which has never been matched–except, perhaps, last year.

The New York Times reports. “A Climate Central analysis of the storm, human-caused climate change made the warm water temperature around where Erin formed 90 percent more likely.”

World Rejects Climate Improvement

The world will get hotter in the decades ahead. There is no reason to think otherwise. Large fossil fuel companies have increased their production, as have OPEC+ members, where many of them do business.

Many nations have walked away or barely participated in climate summits. Fossil fuel businesses are lucrative for their economies and also influence their politicians. Even  tech companies that promised net-zero emissions in two decades have given up in favor of building AI server farms

The perfect hurricane storm creator in the Atlantic will only get stronger.
